These anchors work great in drywall/drywall. I have used them many times at work and at home. I really thought it would be a good buy for me until I got it. I saw 40 pieces which was a good price for me. I thought I was getting 40 dowels, if I had been a little more careful I would have seen it was a kit that had the right size dowels and screws, 20 of each. The price would be great for 40 anchors but not that much for a set. I have a lot of screws. I was looking for cheap anchors. Let's get back to the product. Like I said, I've been using them for many years. There is another brand that has a much heavier drill bit, it's also metal, but I didn't like it either. Also, there's a plastic guy that was rubbish for me. Just a precaution for new users. They should be used for things that you leave in place for a while because when you move the item these anchors leave a big hole, about half an inch, that needs to be fixed.
