Review on πŸ›Ά Attwood Canoe Carrier Kit 11437-7 by Sammie Rodriguez

Not thick enough for camping

I used it to tow my canoe but it stops there. The blocks are too thin. The foam under the canoe is too thin. This brings the gunwale close to the roof. He scratched my car while positioning the canoe because there was a slight curve that wasn't covered by the blocks. The foam also rolls under the canoes, and since they offer the smallest blocks possible, this doesn't give much freedom of movement. The foam block narrows, which increases the pressure directly under the canoe. The foam cannot distribute the force evenly along the floor. Blocks should be rectangular like most other sets. When ordering, I didn't realize how small the blocks are. It was readily available and I needed it quickly. Now I will buy a larger set. My canoe weighs 57 pounds and it has struggled. I fear for anyone with a 90 pound canoe using these blocks hoping to protect the roof from dents and scratches. There's a reason this kit is cheaper!
