Throw the screws in the bin

Here's a note on these bars. Throw the hardware mounting screws into the trash can. These are the softest and cheapest screws I have ever seen. The center is LIGHTLY drilled. I started the installation with a drill to pre-drill holes and then used it with a screwdriver head to screw on the brackets. NOT CORRECT! First of all, if you buy them, throw all the screws in the trash and buy better screws or you'll have the headache I went through. The ease of installation was a major headache. I would suggest using a hand screwdriver but it doesn't matter. You can also use your hand to drill out these weak screws. I had to set them in the window frame hence solid wood so I didn't use anchors. I made the pilot holes for the screws so the screws had a bit of torque to get them in. You are just weak. Please note that I am in my 60's and have arthritis in my hands. .Rods are fine. The paint on it will not stick to panel curtains with eyelets at the top. This review is for Kenney Kendall Standard Window Trim, 28" - 48", Brushed Nickel.
