I had a major oil leak in my 2500 Dodge 2000 Cummins. I disassembled the truck, went in and pressure washed the old silicone gasket to make sure it was completely removed. After that I adjusted the bead to about 1/8" as directed in the instructions and put it back on the truck. Then I tightened the bolts where they were just beginning to put pressure on the block, spread out the gasket and left it stood for a day.The next day I tightened it to the end, reassembled it and it hasn't leaked since.
