I bought this stand because it fits the shape. other items in my bathroom. It appears to be well constructed and feels solid enough. My only issue with this is the stain that was used on the product and it will either stain your countertops or leave a stain trail wherever you sit on the stand and surrounding areas. I try to shake or squeeze as much water out of my shaving tools as possible before putting them on the stand, but the thing is, you're using items that NEED to get wet to use them (e.g. .) . It seems that with just A LITTLE "real" test, the manufacturer noticed or would have noticed. but just don't care. After a few months of use, the stain is coming off in some places and it (and you) are looking cheap. For the money spent on this I would probably advise looking elsewhere for a stand, maybe stainless steel or chrome.
