The rubber piston is very hard and the return is very poor. Because of these problems, the piston does not do its job with any efficiency. This plunger can work on a sink or an old toilet with a round siphon hole. But that doesn't work with the new oval trap. I don't know its actual name, but it's basically a drainer from a bowl to a P/S trap. Some toilets have a round drain and others are more oval. This piston is not suitable for oval types. It doesn't form a good seal and you'll end up splashing dirty water up and out of the toilet onto the floor and onto yourself if you're not careful. I cannot recommend this plug. I would look elsewhere. It's sad that so many of the earth's resources are being used to create unnecessary products that don't work properly. I've had great results with k0rky's beeh1ve pistons. I wish you success.
