Review on Powerful Neodymium Bar Magnets With Double-Sided Adhesive - Ideal For Home, Office & Scientific Uses - Pack Of 16 Magnets by Nick Granner

These are an injury risk & the weak adhesive made them useless.

UPDATE: I just wanted to add that the seller reached out after seeing this review. They offered to make things right with a replacement or refund. I declined as I didn't need either in this case. But props to them for reaching out and trying to make it right. It doesn't change the safety concerns leading to the one-star review, but I'd certainly buy other items from this seller.--I bought these to attach a set of broom holder clips to the side of our fridge. But there were two major problems:1. One of the magnets arrived shattered. There were tiny, sharp pieces of magnetic metal as a result, all stuck together. I found out when I opened them and got cut on one of those pieces. As you try to separate them, that dust can be knocked loose and become a serious hazard to children and pets.2. The plan was to stick these on the back of the broom holder (rather thin metal with three clips on it), then stick that bar to the side of the fridge. Three magnets were used. I didn't even get to see if those three magnets would be strong enough to hold one broom, no less three items. That's because the adhesive detached first with no added weight. The magnet looks like it almost slid right off the adhesive. We're in a heat wave right now, but not so hot that a strong adhesive should give in like that so quickly. But unless you're OK with the fragility of the magnets themselves and you live in a constantly-cool house, I wouldn't waste money on these at all.

Pros
  • What else could I say?Just buy it.
Cons
  • The magnets may be too expensive for some customers
