Why get double walled coffee glasses? Because you like your drink to stay hot longer. The reason why ceramic mugs don't keep coffee hot for as long is because the heat transmits through surface area. The ceramic conducts the heat better than the double walled glass-- so more heat escapes. I find myself 5-10 minutes after pouring my tea still having to blow on my drink to cool it.
