Review on 🎨 Enhance Your Artistry with the Martin/F. Weber Bob Ross 2-Inch Blender Brush by Linda Diaz

After all, it's not that pretty

I haven't used this brush yet because I'm waiting for the background brush to arrive before starting the Bob Ross challenge. I've been drawing for a few years now and I've never painted like Bob. I figured we'd expand our world and give it a try, and anyway I have all the materials on hand except for the brush. I read several negative reviews about it. Blend brush and some people have posted pictures showing how crappy the brush is. I emailed Bob Ross and asked if the brushes were made here in the US or in Germany. They are made in Germany. Some people here have been concerned about that. As long as the brush lasts, I'm not worried. I'm annoyed that the Bob Ross name makes the price so high. If my drawing turns out well and I draw another one AND this blending brush doesn't hold up, I'll return it and buy a different brand of soft brush. I actually have a badger hairbrush, but it's for a faux finish and I'm not sure I want to ruin it. I will write another review after using this Bob Ross brush. There really is no reason why this brush or any of the Ross products should be so expensive. I will not buy Bob's oil paints because any brand name paint is good enough. I mainly use Winsor & Newton and get great results. I also use Gamblin. Also a great result. Another thing is that there is no point in buying Bob Ross pallets. Any large pallet will do. When it comes to painting knives, some brands are flimsy, so be careful. I bought a Bob Ross spatula and will see how well it works. I have other brands of painter's knives but not the one Bob used. I mainly use knives for mixing colors on my glass palette. I prefer to sit and draw. The point is, we're paying for the Bob Ross name. Nothing more. UPDATE June 23rd: After using this brush a few times, the coating on it is cracking. This is unacceptable for a brush that costs as much as this brush. If the company knows this is happening, they shouldn't cover the brushes in this way. I am not satisfied. The photos show both sides of this brush and the handle proves it is a Bob Ross brush.
