Review on Computer headset ASUS ROG Delta Type-C, white by Dorota Kalinowska ᠌
I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!
This review will be referenced by comparing AUDIO-TECHNICA M50XBT and Sony WH-CH700N, which I also left my opinion here, if anyone is interested. Maybe this will help in the choice. What did the above headphones not suit me? Sonya sound, though good, but too lax, and they radiate over the wire! The M50XBT sound more collected and a little more detailed, while not losing bass, but the mids and highs are clamped. They put a lot of pressure on the head both physically and with sound pressure, the ear pads sweat too much, the microphone on the BT is simply useless, as is the control after Sonek. When I passed the AT, I listened to the Fostex T40RP MK3 in the store - out of the box, not warmed up, both Sonek and AT sound better, but the sound is quiet. If I have an external sound system on a PC, then an external DAC or player is needed for a mobile phone. I figured out my ears for 12 thousand + 3-4 thousand iBasso 002 or Meizu HD PRO. Total comes out more expensive than ROG DELTA all in one. I lost in versatility due to the lack of a 3.5mm jack, and I don’t really need a microphone. But for 13500r it turned out more profitable, it remains to be hoped that after a couple of years of warranty, the DELTA electronics will not die and will not be left with nothing.
- - the price is justified - if you need an all-in-one device: a gaming headset with a good microphone, with TYPE-C and a built-in DAC, so that the sound plays the same everywhere. - MICROPHONE was highly praised, I wouldn't call it very much, but good. The main thing in it is that it does not catch the sound coming from the headphones even at the high volume of the latter. - PASSIVE SOUND ISOLATION - sound leakage from the headphones to the outside is weak, that is, people standing nearby will not hear what is playing there, as was the case on my AUDIO-TECHNICA M50XBT or Sony WH-CH700N. - COMFORTABLE, on my head (specially I specify 58 cm) they sit well, do not press at all like AT m50xBT. And the sound pressure is not so strong that after half an hour the brain boils. They "do not hang over the soul" like AT. You can easily listen for hours. Didn't really feel the weight. - EARS, not much, but they sweat, as an alternative there are fabric ones. I'm a handler, so I didn't set it, I can't say how they affect the sound. The main thing is they are pleasant, do not press, the size and D shape are good. - QUALITY rgb LIGHT, looked at the lights and turned off. It's not New Year's and I'm not 16. - ROG Armory is scolded by many for crashes and glitches, so far it’s stable for me, I installed it to check out the microphone chips, the EQ is weak like the bassbooster, you can turn them off altogether. - SOUND! I had high expectations. Yes, they sound good, even, the bass is a bit lacking, but there is a middle and good tops - exactly what the AT M50XBT lacked even over the wire. In the Sony WH-CH700N, I had to increase the upper frequencies with an equalizer. - EVERYWHERE THE SAME SOUND? Not really, on a PC it seemed flat to me, I still need to play around with my EQ, VST and Aimp because everything is set up for Edifier r2800. Better on mobile for some reason. - ON A SMARTPHONE (I have OnePLUS 3T) - it's better to listen through Neutron, how good the sound is through it, just as miserable and not user-friendly interface. I advise you to put “Direct USB Access” in the Audio Equipment settings - the sound will become louder and richer. As an alternative - PowerAMP, the sound is a little less detailed, but easy to control.
- - Is the price justified? As for music - no, with a cursory listening Fostex T40RP MK3 sound the same and the bass seemed better, but they need an amplifier in the PC, an external DAC or player. 3.5mm is more important for musical headphones, because you can stick it into phones and players. - there is no control either through the wire or on the headphones themselves - this is inconvenient - The MICROPHONE was so praised that in absentia I thought I would become a singer, but no, either he catches everything, or some kind of hiss, Armory moved the sliders for half an hour to understand what affects what. Leave it on medium and it will do. - BASA is not enough, especially after the indicated Sony and AT. But EQ can fix things. BUT! For bass to be good, you need to press the cups towards you. That is, it depends on downforce, which is not enough on my head. - 7.1 was so praised. I didn't get any new experience compared to my speakers. The sound becomes flatter, chirping tops, I didn’t begin to navigate better in space, at least in Division 2, I haven’t tested it in the rest yet. - on a small <58cm head, they sit very uncomfortable, creep down, the headphones are massive - for such a price, they could put a third adapter, to connect not only to a PC, but also to devices with microUSB, I made a sound on my tablet through the USB> microUSB ORICO OTG adapter. A crutch, instead of a complete meter one, you will have to buy a mini TYPE C> USB adapter, plug your USB> microUSB into it and listen like that. Yes, I know a lot about perversions. - massive, the cups rotate, but you can’t fold them compactly. - there is no case, my ancient Senkhov 215 for 2500has an excellent leather case, but here it is not! - On OnePLUS 3T, every time you have to enable OTG storage in the wilds of settings to make your ears work. I don’t have other devices with TYPE-C, maybe this is a bug of my smartphone. - one more not obvious minus - ZHOR BATTERIES OF THE MOBILE DEVICE! I haven't turned on the backlight yet. So get ready, the battery on the mobile will fly away much faster than conventional wired headphones.
