I have been using the storage for 3 years, this is my second storage. The first 2 years later was replaced in the SC under warranty after 3 identical breakdowns, the HDD was turned off in one of the baskets. Now there are 4 disks, 2tb each. On 3x, raid5 is configured, and on the last one, it downloads a torrent. There is also a web camera on the storage with a record of alarm events. The main task is to save a family photo and video album, as well as important working documents. At the moment, everything works like clockwork, the computer communicates with the storage using the standard qnap sync program, checks file versions, ates them if they change, and can even save several copies of one file to restore previous versions. The interface cannot be called friendly, for me personally it is somewhat difficult to understand. Simple functions are easy to set up, but advanced ones are only for a professional level, but again there is a technical support where everything can be suggested. There are many functions, it can take some kind of system snapshots, create virtual disks, the site can be stored on this thing. What I didn't like was the android apps. It seems that they were written by a schoolboy in the distant 90s. I deleted the photos created through the qsync mobile application from the storage, and they were taken and deleted also in the phone)), it’s clear that I messed up with synchronization somewhere, but it was scary. Also, you can’t call him smart. Procedures for indexing the photo/video library are the same as on the old Pentium. Perhaps there is not enough RAM for him, but you can’t add it either, it seems to be soldered into the mother. I summarize: advanced users should like the gadget, but some interface may seem strange. For home needs, the device is more than enough, I think any user can figure out the usual functions. Service Center is a plus! They will never leave you in trouble, they will promptly help in case of a breakdown, any repair takes several days.
