Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Noctua NF-P12: High-Quality 3-Pin Premium Cooling Fan (120mm, Brown) by Scott Lavimodiere

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My pick for best heatsink fans is no question

This is my fifth Noctua purchase overall and my second build using their fans exclusively. When it comes to quality and performance, I'm not sure you can do better than one of these brown beauties. Thought it would be wise to write a new review as this is the first one I've bought from Revain. I knew immediately it would be different; The fan does not have the plastic covers on the corners like my previous NF fans installed on my Corsair H60 in my multimedia PC. The PWM version doesn't come with a low-noise adapter or PWM splitter cable, but that's to be expected. I bought the 3-pin version to replace the stock heatsink fan on my EVGA 980 TI hybrid graphics card. Simply put, this fan has changed the audible noise A LOT and keeps the cooler at cooler temperatures. WIN/WIN, since the fan is not visible through the heatsink mount, the color doesn't matter. For applications where colors are present and you want a "themed" look, you can paint the outside of the fan any color that suits you. I wouldn't recommend painting or dipping the blades due to balance issues that uneven painting can cause, however the color doesn't bother me anymore, but I went with the light gray 140mm version of this fan for my Kraken X61 cooler AIO, and the performance is the same. In summary, if you need a static pressure fan with no PWM connection, this is a good choice. If you're looking to replace the stock fan on your graphics card AIO cooler, I can't think of anything better than that, not counting the $50 custom German design. The Noctua is well worth the money and will last for many years to come .
