I have a turtle in a 55 gallon tank. I have to remove leftover food or excrement every day. With the standard net, I had to dip my hand in the water to reach anything on the bottom. This net is just what I needed to scoop items from below without sticking my hand in the tank to get them. I am very happy. The net is very thin and catches small food crumbs. The only "complaint" I have is that the handle can fill with water, but this is probably inevitable due to the mechanics of the telescoping feature.
