These headlights are great fog lights for my 18" Civic Si! And a good price 👍They fit very well in the hole in the case, nothing extra is required for the modification. I would call this the 'thin' version of the LED bulb as the shape and length are the same as the halogen bulbs and this design makes installation easier. I have used HID in the past and would say there is no comparison. My HIDs were bulky (inverters) and required valuable space in our very cramped engine bays; Sealight LED fog lights have no fan or heatsink, so they are compact and quiet. Brightness is decent for fog lights, not too bright to dazzle oncoming traffic. The color is close to 6000K. Overall great lights!
