Also, the manufacturer sent me an email offering a "refund" for an increasing amount (first $40, now $50) if I delete my review on the product; either through PayPal or with a Revain gift card. Not entirely sure how I feel about this, but it seems unethical and probably anti-Revain TOS. I'm not sure if the product isn't dangerous anymore so I'll leave my review. Original: Gave it to my girlfriend for Christmas and she loved it. However, we have found that the automatic 2-hour limit does not always work properly and is mostly active until switched off. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. We recently used it at night as it was very cold, but around 2am (about 4am when it was on, although it was supposed to turn off automatically at 2am) it noticed it was still on and unusual was hot. We turned it off manually with the included controller, but it was still hot in the morning (although the lights on the remote indicated it was off) and melting some of the cord and some of the plastic on the controller. Given how hot the blanket got (much higher than "high" on the controller) and the fact that it has to be turned off if you want to make sure it's safe, I have to give it 1 star overall, because I believe that they it is dangerous and flammable.
