Let me start by saying that I have a lot of experience with 3D printers. It's the fifth one I have in my office and I've probably installed and used a dozen more. I've used printers ranging from $200 to $4000 so I know what they're supposed to do and how they're supposed to work. This printer is almost junk from what I've seen. First of all, the assembly instructions suck. If this is your first time buying/using them, throw them away and go online. Second, the bed is not flat. Not even close. And that is indeed a key requirement for printers. Mine is shaped like a bowl with the center probably 0.10 to 0.15 inches below the corners. It is very difficult to glue something. A glass bed with padding in the middle could solve this problem. I could try that or I could just return it. Third, the potentiometer on the controller is defective. Sometimes the menu makes "click" even if I don't touch anything. Sometimes I mean a few times a minute. Fourth, it's a hot ending. It seems extremely low flow - at least it doesn't extrude well. This could be due to all the problems I have with bed leveling, but I doubt it. I've tried several PLA filaments and none flow better than fine filament. I could try a bigger nozzle, but shouldn't that thing work? In general, can I spend time and more money to make it work? Of course. Someone new to printing knows what to do? Probably no. I would eventually spend a little more money and get something better. I have a larger generically named portal printer (ADIMLab I think?) that I've had fewer problems with and costs less than this one.
