I've been using these heat shrink butt connectors since 2013. I keep buying them because they work just fine. I would suggest ratcheting pliers to make sure you don't rip the heat shrink tubing. Once they have been connected to the wire and heated with a small flame or heat gun, it is literally impossible to remove them other than cutting that section of wire and splicing the wire again. I've used them on semi-trailers and trailers in extremely cold, muddy and salty conditions and have never set a single error right. I would recommend them to anyone working in the automotive industry.
