First of all I would like to thank everyone who left feedback on this system. This is a really great system, except for the lighting issue. I have another aquarium with lights under the tank and it's so inefficient it's a joke. It makes up for it, and that's why I like it. A VERY EASY solution to this whole lighting/splattering problem is to just take a clear ziplock bag and tape it *securely* to the bulb. This prevents water from entering and rusting the device. I've had it for a few weeks now and I've never had a problem with it. Though it's a bad design, with a simple and inexpensive adjustment, this is a great tank. I get lots of compliments at work.
