Great Aquarium! I use it for betta fish. The filter pulled him to the filter so he rested a lot behind it so it was a bummer at first. I bought a decoration for his aquarium, it's a medium sized watering can. I think this helps break the force of the current and now he's not drawn to it anymore and spends more time floating in and around the watering can decoration. You get what you pay for. The pump failed in less than two months and the Tetra pump company does not sell the XS pump individually. They only sell it to aquarium kit manufacturers like this one. All the other pumps I've seen don't fit the cap. Cheap junk like this product is actually more expensive than just paying more upfront for quality because it just doesn't last long. First of all I would like to thank everyone who left feedback on this system. This is a really great system, except for the lighting issue. I have another aquarium with lights under the tank and it's so inefficient it's a joke. It makes up for it, and that's why I like it. A VERY EASY solution to this whole lighting/splattering problem is to just take a clear ziplock bag and tape it *securely* to the bulb. This prevents water from entering and rusting the device. I've disassembled and cleaned the filter system twice, but it's still not enough for this small 2 gallon tank (of course I change the filter every time I clean the tank). Also, the multi-color light requires 3 AAA batteries and will eat them up in about 2 days. Plugin in One is much better. And I need to buy a heater. I love love I love these tanks. I have three roosters and these cymbals were exactly what I was looking for. I don't use flashlights very often, but to protect them I took the advice of several other reviewers and put them in Ziploc plastic bags before attaching them to the gas caps. Update 1: The filter started making a lot of noise within 2 months so I just removed and added the internal 3i-Tetra filter and it has been working great ever since. Also removed the heater as I always keep the temp in my apartment at 76-78C and adding these fixed temp heaters raised the temp to almost 85C and my fish went crazy and the shrimp died.
