Works perfectly! No problems with the right connection!

This was a great solution to replace the key switch on my aluminum G3 side console boat. The tether switch failed to turn off the 40 hp Evinrude engine. Removing and opening up the OMC gas regulator allowed easy access to the original switch and this is a full size replacement. There are 6 insulated bullet connectors on the switch wiring and it just takes some effort to connect them properly for the new switch. Disconnect the battery first, then line up the alignment with the old switch and use needle nose pliers to remove and connect each wire/connector individually. I also printed out a schematic to check the wire colors. There may be slight differences in the color of the stripes on the wires due to differences between manufacturers, but they are basically the same. After reconnecting the battery and testing, everything works like the original, especially the all-important kill button. Remember to use it!
