good relay board for IoT projects

This is a review of the ESP8266 5V WIFI Relay Module. This is a small unit that allows you to remotely control a relay switch. The main components of this board are esp8266, STC15F104 and of course the relay switch. There are not many documents. After some research on the internet I finally managed to get enough information to get the switch working. 1) You need a 3.3V FTDI converter connected to this module. The FTDI TX pin is connected to the RX pin of the module, and the FTDI RX pin is connected to the FTDI TX pins of the module. Finally connect the FDTI GND to the GND of the module. You will also need an external 5V power supply to power the module board. The purpose of this FTDI connection is to start the ESP8266 server on TCP port 8080. Enter the following commands to enable the server (i.e. I used the Arduino serial monitor as a serial terminal, the baud rate was 9600 AT+CIPMUX=1AT+ CIPSERVER =1 .80802) You will also need an Android app, to control the relay. For myself I use an app called "Wi-Fi Controller" but I think another app should work as well. 3) Open your phone's wireless network settings, you should see an SSID named "AI-THINKER_XXXXX". You can go ahead and connect to it. esp8266 default IP address is 192.168.4.1. Once you connect to esp8266. You can send the following HEX values to control the relay (see my demo video). leave board. Loss. I'm still looking to see if there's a way to have the board start the server automatically when it's powered on. You will also learn how to use this module in the IOT project. However, this is beyond the scope of this review. Anyway I would recommend this board if you want to learn more about ESP8266, relay switches or IoT projects.
