Review on 🔌 Superior Quality A-Premium Power Window Regulator with Motor - Front Passenger Side for Ford Ranger 1993-2011 by Andre Parsons

This power window was purchased to replace a genuine Ford OEM part that was on the truck when it was built in 1996. It was not a trivial installation, but there were no installation and assembly problems. As some reviewers have pointed out, this part is not identical as the motor is smaller and the original unit has a motor mount which this replacement does not. The original motor mount is removable, but it didn't fit this new drive motor, so we decided against it. Removing the original part requires drilling and turning 5 1/4" rivets. This required purchasing a larger riveting tool than what we had on hand, but even with that purchase the overall cost of replacing the actuator was much lower than with us pay someone else the new mounting holes fitted easily (except for the old motor mount) and attaching the unit with 4 1/4" rivets was a breeze. My recommendation to anyone trying to remove/replace this drive on a Ford Ranger or Explorer is to purchase a tool and rivets to install the rivet replacement rather than attempting to use cap screws, nuts and washers . It wouldn't be impossible, but getting the screws through the drive bracket and door and then holding them while tightening them would be tedious and complicated at best. Also, I recommend testing the device before riveting the drive. We left the original bracket 5th hole open as it was covered with the original plastic film on the door panel. It's good to have some removable adhesive handy to reattach that plastic wrap. So far the window regulator is working fine and there is no noticeable difference in the speed at which the window moves despite the smaller motor. This piece was inexpensive and sold well. This DIY project saved me money.
