It was pretty much what I expected. Used them for the first time this morning on a bike ride in 17 degrees Fahrenheit (felt like 8 in a cold wind). I turned them on as I left (they heat up very quickly unlike chemical hand warmers) and kept them in my mittens right over my fingers/hands. I'd say they were "very warm" when I started and "reasonably warm" when I got to work a half hour later. Without hand warmers, a day like today would mean my fingers curled up in my mittens and still very cold when I get to work. thinking and striving). Don't expect it to take much longer than 30 minutes, but if that's what you want, you don't mind bulk and want something reusable, this is probably a really good option for you!
