What a bust for camping

One of these broke the second time I took it. Pretty disappointed in him. The heat is ok and lasted about 40 minutes. But the strength is worth doubting

Good Deal - Safety and Survival

They were great for walking the dog on a cold morning because I have Raynaud. Since they stay warm in my mittens for at least 40-60 minutes, I had no problem whitening my fingertips. I'm glad they can be reused and not just thrown away.

  • Best in the Niche
Cons

Pleasantly Surprised

Worked well when it worked. Just two days after I bought them one of them exploded as you can see in the picture. **UPDATE** Hot to Go sent me a replacement plus additional material after I let them know. The new ones all work perfectly. One thing to note is that after prolonged and repeated use, the coins become more delicate and sometimes accidentally stumble into my pocket.

Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

The company supports their product!

Favorite idea, great invention. But on first use (bought for my grandma who has poor circulation in her arms and legs) one of the round heating pads leaks. How do I get a replacement? I really want to love them, but they shouldn't break right away - especially a reusable product?! UPDATE: The seller contacted me immediately and sent a replacement product after my last review. The person I dealt with was polite and professional and the new product I received does not leak. Despite my initialโ€ฆ

Bad product. No return.

I am a great hunter/fisherman. I walk like crazy on hot hands. I decided to try these reusable ones to save some money. I tested one at my home (70 degrees). I gave the disk a bang and it immediately started to heat up. I was very excited. I put it in my jacket pocket to take with me when cleaning. It was very hot at first which was great, but after 10 minutes it was barely getting warm. I tried kneading it to get the stuff moving and hopefully warm it up a bit more, but that didn't work. Iโ€ฆ

It was pretty much what I expected

It was pretty much what I expected. Used them for the first time this morning on a bike ride in 17 degrees Fahrenheit (felt like 8 in a cold wind). I turned them on as I left (they heat up very quickly unlike chemical hand warmers) and kept them in my mittens right over my fingers/hands. I'd say they were "very warm" when I started and "reasonably warm" when I got to work a half hour later. Without hand warmers, a day like today would mean my fingers curled up in my mittens and still very coldโ€ฆ

I wanted to love her!

I use so many heating pads I was very happy to find this reusable product! I bought six straight away and three of them ended up in the bin. When I boiled them for 10 minutes they reverted to a liquid form, everything was fine except what was at the bottom of the pan. For this, when it turned back into a liquid, as it was good, and then when it had cooled, the liquid took on a different crystal quality from that at the bottom of the pan and became very solid while remaining transparent. It wasโ€ฆ

That's great! best in Hand Warmer

My little girl rides the bus and keeps complaining about being cold in the morning. Now I'm making 2 of these so she can keep them in her coat pockets when she travels. She says they keep her stomach and arms warm and she loves them! :) There were 2 that didn't click right away, but it was a bit harder to get started with. After I got them for the first time, they got lighter. Since there are 8 pieces, I take a few in the car for emergencies. They're also great when I get headaches fromโ€ฆ

Snappy Heat vs. Hot To Go

I am about to post the same review for both products as I have been using both products for quite some time and thought it was time to share. First of all, both products are great and very similar. You press the metal button and it heats up quickly. If you leave it outside in the cold, it will lose heat and harden within 10 minutes. If you keep massaging it or keep it in an isolated place (like a glove, bag) these things will last 20-30 minutes. No, they don't last as long as disposables, butโ€ฆ
