Review on WEIMELTOY License Plate Light by Cody Stroop

They operate at less than 12 volts.

I'm actually using them as console lights in a stereo portable keyboard amp I'm building. I only run them at 9 volts (75% power) but they do their job well so I expect them to be really bright at a full 12 volts when installed in a car. I hope I never test how weather resistant they are as the rest of the system won't survive getting wet. I am very satisfied with them: they give more than enough light, their angle does not blind the operator of the console, since they are very small (like two folded sugar cubes), they do not interfere with the operation of the control, and all four added up to less than 12% of the cost of the LED lighting they replaced. They are the perfect solution to my need to see gauges and controls without disturbing others. Do-it-yourselfers should take this into account for other applications such as front door lock lights so you can see where to put the key. Consider them for low stair lights, night lights, book lights and more! Install them on power tools! Your imagination is the limit.
