Bought this to keep an eye on my mailbox. I wanted to know when my mail would be delivered so I didn't have to go out and see if the postman was there. A motion detector is perfect for this. I used the included magnetic mount to place it face first in my lockable box. Now when the mail is delivered I get a notification on my phone almost immediately. For a second or so. We've also had a number of mailbox break-ins and mail thefts in our area, so hopefully this device will let me know if someone is trying to steal my mail. My mailbox is heavy gauge steel and is about 70 feet from the hub and the signal is 2 out of 3 bars so it goes through the box and is fine at that distance. Since you have two detectors, I installed the second one. one just above my front door pointing straight down. This detector tells me if someone is there. The guest or maybe FEDEX or UPS will deliver the package to our porch. It was pretty easy to set up in about 30 minutes. Great product and very fast delivery!
