I connected two wires from an existing wall open/close button. The wall button and remotes work fine, it's basically an additional wireless switch that sends the same electrical signal as the wall button to open and close the garage door. The magnetic sensor is designed so that you can see if the garage door is open or closed in the Smart Life app. It comes with 3M double sided tape but I drilled small pilot holes and screwed it to the wall and the top edge of the garage door right in the middle. Comes with a small USB power adapter that needs to be plugged into an available outlet. Depending on how far your outlet is from your garage door opener, you may need a USB extension cord or an electrical extension cord since the USB power cord is not that long. It didn't reach the place where my outlet is. After setting it up in the Smart Life app, click the "Alarm Clock" bell icon and set a PIN as Google/Alexa requires it as a security feature after a voice command to open or close.
