elusive (broken) cutter

I received the writer today, went to collect it, the cutting blade was nowhere to be found, after some digging in the box I found it behind the valve. I assemble it and check the marking on a piece of wood. These elusive cookie cutters fell apart (into 3 pieces). Maybe I have too high expectations?
