This car is fantastic. I like the security features in it. The machine will not work if the lid is opened or the ice tray is removed. I got tired of paying over $3 for a small snow cone at a local booth, so I invested in Crisinart. It is excellent! Kids of all ages loved their 8 oz. snowballs, and we could control the amount of syrup they got. We took him to the beach and to our birthday party and it was a huge hit. I love crushed ice all day. It's pretty addicting. I like to use real lemon and lime (crystallized citrus) over ice for added acidity. Would recommend for great family fun! April update. This machine has been used every day since we received it. Works just as well as in August. I make ice for my daily iced tea. Cuisinart is worth the extra cost. It still gets 5 stars.
