To sum it up, the material is strong but the cratered part that holds the egg needs a redesign. Doesn't cut cleanly like the egg slices in the picture. The wires don't cut cleanly to the bottom of the egg due to a design flaw that causes part of the egg to tear and then stick to the grate when you pull the wire back. I would not recommend this product if you intend to use it to slice eggs. I haven't tried it with other products yet.
