Each year in August I affix four-inch non-skid tape (different brand) to my outside deck steps, which is very helpful in our icy winter months. This summer I bought the six-inch-wide tape (different brand) and affixed it, according to its instructions, to our deck steps during our August dry season when the wood was not damp. Within a few weeks, the six-inch-wide tape is curling back and lost its adhesive hold. Now September is here with its rains, and the wooded deck steps are to damp to tape more on. The next time I order, it will be my old brand of four-inch wide non-skid tape,
