Phew I almost bought the OTC plastic. It's a damn good thing I didn't. I used this tool to replace transmission cooler lines on a 2003 Expedition. It eventually got the job done, but at a cost. I can't blame Assenmacher, instead I'm more disappointed in Ford for their decision to use those horrible tappets to connect fittings. Yes, I can understand the benefit on the assembly line, but after 13 years I'm trying to fit an aluminum tool into a fixture that is covered in rust and hasn't moved since assembly. What initially started with a little jiggle to insert the tool ended up pounding and twisting the suction cup. The end result is one broken fitting and one that interacted and released the hose. All in all I would still buy this product if I had to do this job again. He gave his life for the intended purpose and helped me get the job done. It would be great if they used a heavier grade of aluminum or steel, but I'll use it as a disposable tool. I can't give it 5 stars as it didn't survive the job. As a result, I was rather disappointed with Ford.
