Best design best in Bar & Wine Tools

I chose this corkscrew because the gears are covered by the wings. There was one bottle I had a hard time opening with my old corkscrew and not paying attention to where my fingers were as I pulled the wings down as hard as I could. Ouch! My fingers are cut off! After that I knew very well how these gears could snag on the fleshy part of my fingers and I liked that they were covered with this one. I broke an old corkscrew (probably bought in a supermarket) and compared the length of the spiral to my new one and yes, it's a bit longer. This one is definitely quality.
