So this light works. But it's not as bright as I was hoping. It is advertised for 18-24" aquariums. They were regular 10-20 gallon tanks. But I tried 20 gallons and it just wasn't bright enough. I suppose if you didn't have live plants and only wanted you to see the tank that might be ok. That said, I still find it a bit boring. I think it's a much better fit for a 10 gallon tank. And yet, even at 10, I don't think it's would be good for live plants with higher light requirements. After seeing how bright (not bright) this light is I just can't justify its regular price.I got it as part of a deal so it was a fair.reasonable price. But if I were to pay full price for it I would return it Everyone in the hobby walks with current lights Maybe it's one of the even more expensive models Very good Every time I move the light the cord pulls out and it was likely an accident and the reason it was on su h is a good deal. But customer service was great and gave me a partial refund so I could buy a new power adapter. The new one I got fits much better and the problem was solved. Again, if I paid full price for this light I don't think it would be worth all the hassle. I would just go back. There are some really good "unbranded" lights out there that are brighter, have better timers, and I've never had a problem with them. Until I find a good reason to spend so much on this brand of light, I probably won't do it again.
