Firstly that is exactly what is advertised. It has three legs that attach to elongated holes in the yoke that abut the base plate just behind the axle tube. The problem I had was that none of the three bearing adapters fitted my bearings properly. The next one couldn't span the back of the camp well enough to slip into the camp and put pressure on the rollers, and the next one on top was too big to fit in; this caused the old camp to crumble rather than crawl out; what a pain in the ass! It's not an uncommon bearing size that I change, it's on a 2002 Chevy half-ton truck. I was able to get the bearing out by inserting a pry bar next to the puller and pushing the bearing adapter out of the way so it (thankfully) stays behind the ring. The last straw was that the cheap nut that came with it caught the puller shaft threads on the second bearing ever removed from this tool. I now have to buy a nut splitter if I ever want to pull out another bearing with THAT tool. These are my conclusions. Your mileage may vary. By the way, there was no manual for this tool.
