We had one of these before in black and it lasted a little over a year before the Velcro started to unstick from the door frame, which I didn’t think was to bad. I chose this one as a replacement simply because it had the option of white and I thought that would look much nicer in our white doorframe. I did not realize there was a lace trim at the top and that does make it look a little fancier than I had planned for but not a deal breaker. Compared to our last one, this one seems much better. the magnets are smaller, closer together and much stronger helping them close easier after passing through and the white color is nicer on the eyes than our previous black colored one was.
