We live in an area with rough roads and as I have an Australian Shepherd the only way to consistently train him as much as he needs is to walk. At first I thought his paws would get stronger and everything would be fine, but his calluses grew so thick that he literally ate them. So, back to the starting point, I checked out the boots - these are the only ones I've found that didn't cost an arm, leg and whatnot. The first pair swallowed my feet and shins but this size is perfect! He is an Australian Shepherd, so a medium-sized dog. But it's great. They only turn on his legs when he's trying to turn a dime, but since we're running, they're amazing. The two Velcro straps are great, although I've found that they work best if you tighten the bottom, tighten the top, then tighten the bottom some more. Use lots of treats and this is a great product!
