Advantages: The knurled brass handle is easily adjustable and holds the chosen bevel well. The Bad: The device pictured on the Revain page is obviously a carefully chosen prime example of this product ie. yours might not look so good. Mine had sharp edges all around and the brass fittings weren't flush with the wood. I spent about an hour filing and sanding paper and now I'm pretty happy with mine, but not sure I'll be buying it again.
