It's a good idea in theory, we'll find out.
The project is scheduled for late this spring. The idea is that full-scale solar energy is too expensive. However, if the house is mostly idle during the day, then in warmer weather the power consumption will be 300-600 watts. Frequently used items such as kettles or dryers are usually not in constant use. The thought is that few plates will provide that constant small flow to balance what is being used. We'll find out.
