I had this flashlight for about a month and it fell out of my clothes several times before losing it forever. All I did was walk the dog. I'm not sure how good it will stay for runners. It seems to have stayed better in the summer pinned to the collar of a t-shirt than pinned to a cuff or hood pocket after it has cooled. I bought 2. I attached the second to a velcro loop attached to the handle of my retractable leash. There is nothing between the magnets and if they should come loose the loop is small enough not to come loose. I think this will work much better. I gave it 5 stars because I think I had to find the right way to attach it and it does what it's supposed to do.
