Review on πŸ’§ Reliable Liberty Pumps SJ10 SumpJet Water Powered Back-Up Pump for Effective Backup - Gray by Alex Pollard

A bit quirky in design but overall a nice car.

Will never let you down. We go on vacation and inevitably see what horrible weather we're having at home (or have been to work in bad weather) and have to hope and pray that our finished basement will be dry when we get home! On this recent vacation, we vacationed in North Carolina just before the remnants of a Texas hurricane hit our hometown. We could only hope for the best but honestly it's stress I don't need when I'm out of town! We took the plunge and hired a professional to install it. Honestly, the work of cutting fresh water pipes, soldering etc. was worth it. The distance we walked in fresh water was quite long, so I'm guessing the cost of supplies alone was $200. Luckily we have a guy who works cheap by the hour, which made things a little more attractive. This machine performs far better than I ever expected from a "backup". Our waste line is way higher than it should be (sometimes contractors do something different) and this thing is still pumping water like a champ! Two things I can't stress is to install a check valve and test it after everything is dry ONLY through the case. We didn't test it the first time and after fiddling with the pump during installation we had to re-tune it to get everything working properly. Structurally, this pump is long and 180Β° in construction. This means that once you install a small fresh water and sewage system, the unit is VERY tight. We were able to fit it into our pot and the plumber was able to cut a new hole in the top of the old one (reduces noise), but he had a heck of a time to put everything together. I am very happy that we finally made it. On our next trip we might have a little more peace!
