Review on 🔪 DEWALT Dado Blade Set: 8-Inch, 24-Tooth - Top Quality and Precision by Jay Sterns

Great purchase. The suitcase is good. The blades and choppers work well, but with the following problems: 1.) A 1/8 chopper has two carbide teeth that are sharpened .008" larger in diameter than any other teeth in the entire set. I checked this by measuring with . This leaves a stepped groove that is 1/8 inch wide and 0.008 inch deep, deeper than the rest of the bottom of the groove. A bit of a nuisance but I hope they guarantee a shredder and don't require me to send it back. the whole dado set.2.) Some gaskets have burrs on the edges. I had to smooth them with stones. minor problem. Update 12/29/17: DeWalt customer service response within 24 hours of the request is "Thank you for contacting us. . We apologize for the problem you encountered with the grinder. I will send a replacement and it will be shipped via UPS within 5-7 days. Thank you DeWalt. Good answer. send back the first sentence. Very unexpected. Thank you DeWalt, and I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but that seems like an overreaction. Interesting observation: one of the shredders in the replacement set had the exact same problem (0.008 too big). In both sets, this was the first 1/8" shredder in the stack of shredders (as packaged) that didn't shred properly. So should I increase my rating to 5 stars? The product I currently own has a 5 star rating but both kits had the same issue. The net effect of DeWalt's quick warranty work has really given me a more than acceptable solution. Overall, the product has a fault that DeWalt is willing to fix if you contact customer service. 4-1/2 stars seems reasonable, but since that can't be I'll round down and leave 4 simply because in my experience there's a problem with every dado set.
