Bought this tent for my son's scouts as his last camping tent got flooded in the rain. His first hike with it was heavy rain both nights and it didn't leak (a rain cover was installed). It was a bit hot inside the tent due to the humidity and heat outside the tent. With a rain cover, it is thick and only has small vents at the top to allow airflow. (we live in hawaii). The tent was easy to pitch without assistance and was large. It's big enough for him and all his gear in the tent, and there's still room. In the pocket, it is light and small. Ideal for a backpack if you need a good waterproof tent. In Hawaii it rains all the time without warning. I would recommend. High quality zippers/materials.
