I use this for everything so my 1 2 thinks he's a teenager because he chews cord. This cat chews on EVERYTHING and I've used those smelly cord protectors before and they did NOTHING to stop him. Also, they gave me a headache. They don't have an unpleasant smell, they are easy to apply. When I got this I figured it wouldn't stop him from chewing because he has big sharp teeth. As soon as I tried applying this to the wire, it chewed on the protector and you know what. no puncture marks and it was on a hollow tread. He made a dent, but it didn't go away. So don't let the flexibility/ease fool you. That thing can take a hit. I also used duct tape and wrapped it around so it was airtight so the kitten couldn't slide the canine between the crack and also held it in place.
