Review on Soldering Iron Kit Temperature Desoldering Industrial Power & Hand Tools by Edwin Kreps

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for money

I love this little set. It has everything, just look at the photo. The soldering iron is pretty cool and has a nice little temperature control and the multimeter is amazing considering how little I paid for all of this. About $27. It even has a kickstand on the back and lights, and the ability to swap out sensors is priceless and great at this price point. So far everything seems to be of good quality. Flush cutters cut a sheet of paper so I would call it sharp and very well aligned. I soldered for many years and even worked in the Navy for 3 years as an avionics technician and was always soldering. This is the real stuff and the price I can't really believe considering the amount of stuff you get. I thought a little breadboard would be a cool addition and I would definitely enjoy it. This is a good set for beginners and also for us who have been at this for a while. I had a simple problem that I honestly didn't pay much attention to. The small wrench used to change the soldering tip is too small, but not necessary as it shouldn't be tightened that much anyway, nor is it necessary. Finger tightening is normal. Overall I am impressed and very happy that I purchased this particular set. I bought a desoldering wick with pump separately as in the kit, as well as heat shrink tubing which cost me $20. I canceled those things and invested another $7 and got LOTS MORE THINGS I needed anyway. Super happy. I can't wait to solder something.
