This LED strip is a GREAT alternative to trunk lights. There are no instructions, but if you have even basic mechanical skills, you can turn them off. Installation took less than 10 minutes and the light is on! If you don't know how to replace your trunk light, these basic steps will help you: 1. Locate the light source in your trunk.2. There may be a clear cover with a tab that needs to be pressed when removing the cover. ***Be careful of cables that may still be attached to the cover or connector when you remove them.3. Make sure you have SMD 5050 (recessed lamp with two wire contacts) or type 6418 (glass tube with tapered metal ends)4. Depending on the type, install the light strip so that the center wire connector is within 5 inches of the light connector. Connect the correct connector type to the LED strip connector, making sure the red and black pins match. (If needed, use the extension cord provided that also matches the red and black wires.) 6. When you plug the connector adapter into the original trunk light connector, the light bar should light up.7. Enjoy the sun in your trunk! I definitely recommend this upgrade for your trunk!
