Review on πŸ”ͺ Milwaukee Electric Tool 48-00-1640 Reciprocating Saw Blade, 5 Teeth Per Inch, 6-inch Length, Carbide by Anthony Epps

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Worked like a magic wand when serving

This blade cut drywall cleanly and easily, didn't cut electrical wiring hidden in the wall and was even gentle enough on the vapor barrier plastic coating when cutting the outside of the wall. This blade is narrow, however, and the cuts made from both the top and bottom are major weak points. If you can cut holes for sockets or something where you can be careful to avoid bolts, that will probably be great. I was doing demolition work for a small project, so I ran into lugs here and there, and eventually when I'd cut a few dozen linear feet the blade just snapped off. There are other short, blunt "safety" drywall blades available at Revain that look much more durable (they're as wide as regular blades), so I think I'll try them next time.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
