Failed!: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Bounced off my drywall instead of crashing into it. I couldn't cut a straight line with this blade on my saber saw. Not effective.

Pros
  • Lots of Positive Emotions
Cons
  • Modern

The best invention of drywall

Used in both M18 full size sawmill and M12 manual saw. Of course, the smaller Hackzal is more maneuverable, but it worked equally well in both cases. Cuts through drywall cleanly and quickly. I made all straight cuts so I didn't try it for round holes, but I wouldn't overlook it for drywall work.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • boring packaging

really cool idea and it works but it broke after a dozen.

Really cool idea and it works but it broke after a dozen uses. Looks like you may need to make a "pilot" hole to allow the blade to start the cut. Also, my guard on my saw is too deep so the blade actually recedes under the guard, making the blade want to punch through the drywall instead of cutting. It generally works, but I'm not sure if it can be made stronger or if my protective case is contributing to its breakage.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Worked like a magic wand when serving

This blade cut drywall cleanly and easily, didn't cut electrical wiring hidden in the wall and was even gentle enough on the vapor barrier plastic coating when cutting the outside of the wall. This blade is narrow, however, and the cuts made from both the top and bottom are major weak points. If you can cut holes for sockets or something where you can be careful to avoid bolts, that will probably be great. I was doing demolition work for a small project, so I ran into lugs here and there, and…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
