Review on Enhanced Base Plate - K&N 85-1541 by David Carmody

Great quality part, fantastic chrome, thick shaft - but I have a personal complaint - where is the breathing hose fitting that Holley, Edelbrock, Specter put in theirs? There is a flat on the base with an embossing for the fitting (as shown in the picture) but there is no fitting. To add insult to injury, the die doesn't fit any aftermarket bleed kits I can find, and K&N doesn't make their own - good "engineering" here, folks. I guess it's for the show? However, if you don't need a breather, there's no reason not to buy these! Very good piece
