I originally set the earrings to 3. They looked fine but there was a small defect on the back of one of the earrings. I don't wear them often, but have worn them a few times in the past few weeks, along with a stainless steel heart-shaped necklace to match. The earrings are now completely discolored. The chain is still perfect. I don't use hairspray, I haven't showered, and I haven't slept with earrings on. Should have paid attention to the negative reviews. These earrings are junk! It's sad because I usually like Betsey Johnson stuff.
